The International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) in conjunction with The Institute of Food Science and Technology of Ireland (IFSTI) is staging a Global Food Safety Conference in Dublin, Ireland from the 23rd to 25th of October 2012.
This conference has the support of Teagasc, the Irish Agricultural Development Authority, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, University College Dublin, WHO, FAO and other international bodies concerned about the food safety issues facing us all today.
This conference, which is truly global in its appeal, will showcase the latest advances in microbiology, chemical toxicology, nanotechnology and regulation supported by satellite workshops, which are designed to address specific issues of a practical nature. In addition there will a poster display, an exhibition area and awards for participating students.
World-renowned experts in the area of food safety will present the latest findings at primary production level and during processing and distribution. The changing face of outbreaks of foodborne disease and contamination issues and the management of such issues at a global level will also be considered.
Registration is open for the main conference and the four workshops covering topics on food safety, health and wellness, food processing, HACCP, and analytical techniques.
